Specified Skilled Workers (SSW) in Japan

What is it?

Japanese Government has officially started a new job visa in 2020 which allow foreign workers to join the country’s labor force. This initiative is taken by the government as the number of working population is growing aged. The following 14 industries are covered in SSW.

1) Nursing Care.

2) Agriculture

3) Building Cleaning Management.

4) Machine Parts and Tooling

5) Industrial machinery

6) Electric, electronics and information industries & tooling industries.

7) Construction Industry.

8) Shipbuilding and Ship Machinery Industry.

9) Automobile Repair and Maintenance.

10) Aviation industry

11) Accommodation Industry

12) Fishery & aquaculture

13) Manufacturing food & beverages

14) Food service Industry

Requirement for The SSW Category

(1) Minimum educational qualification is S.S.C or equivalent

(2) Pass JLPT N4 or above or Japanese JFT Basic A2 level in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

(3) Pass the Technical proficiency test of the industry you want to work in (agriculture, construction, restaurant, food manufacturing, tourism, long-term care, etc.)

(4) Over 18 years of age.

About Specified Skills Evaluation Exam

Among 14 categories the following three categories can have direct offline/online test exam in Bangladesh:
a) Construction
b) Agriculture and
c) Nursing

Other 11 categories test can be obtained from Nepal, Philippine, Singapore and Vietnam.
